A drawing project that inspired my drawing program assignment was DadaBot, a gesture controlled drawing robot by David Baus and Alexander Oemisch. Being interested in motion sensing and gesture detection, this robot appealed to me and helped shape my own program.

DadaBot is a robot that is controlled through body gestures that are detected by a Microsoft Kinect and transmitted to it over Bluetooth. The robot is equipped with wheels, motors and a holder for pencils, pens, paintbrushes or any similar drawing tool. Due to the geometry of the motion of the wheels, it is particularly good at drawing circles and arcs, but it can produce a wide variety of drawings ranging from line drawings to colourful patterns as shown in the video.
