I’ve selected a dataset of 5640 describable textures. See “bumpy”, “crosshatched”, and “braided” below.

I am interested in this dataset because it offers a variety of images, pulled out of context, and isolated by their similar texture characteristics.

For the project I will use this dataset as a basis for an interactive, generative exploration of associated images. I envision the end project as a blank digital canvas that incrementally adds/merges one image next to another, to create a collage of textures and visually similar images. I may rely on Google Images search functions for delivering similar textured images.
