This, week for Looking Outwards, I chose the work displaced at Superficie to write about.
Generative Artist Miguel Nóbrega has three collections shown at his website: Possible Structures, Potential Sculptures, and Plausible Spaces. All three focus on geometric items in space but each of the collections has a different focus. Possible Structures tend to be smaller, colorful works that display many rectangular prisms interlocking. Potential Sculptures is like Possible Sculptures, but the colors are more ordered and there are less objects. Plausible Spaces takes a deep, close up look at geometric spaces with large drawings. All of these drawings are made by a plotter and permanent marker.
